How does quote comparison work?+
You describe your property and energy needs once. We send your request to vetted providers, who reply with quotes within 24–48 hours. Each quote shows the total price, price per kWh, what is included, and when it can be delivered.
How do I reserve a quote?+
Open the quote from your dashboard, review it, and click "Reserve Quote". The quote price is then locked in. You will be asked to verify your email and pay the mobilising fee to confirm the job. After payment, the provider will contact you to schedule a site assessment.
Which providers do you work with?+
We work with vetted Nigerian providers covering homes, estates, and businesses. The providers shown in your quotes depend on your location and what you need.
Is there a cost to compare quotes?+
No. Comparing quotes on Senergy is free. You only pay the provider for the system you choose. We do not add any fees on top.
What is off-grid energy? Is it the same as solar?+
Off-grid means your power does not rely only on the national grid. You make and store energy at home, usually with solar panels, batteries, and an inverter. Solar is one part of an off-grid system; some setups also include a backup generator.
How do you vet your solar providers?+
We check each provider for licensing, install history, workmanship, warranty support, where they source parts, and customer references. We review them again from time to time.
How much does a solar system cost in Nigeria?+
A rough guide (₦, hardware + labour): small backup setup ₦800k–₦1.8m; medium home (lights, fans, fridge, 1–2 ACs) ₦3m–₦6m; high-use home (multiple ACs, pumps) ₦8m–₦15m+. Final cost depends on your batteries, panels, inverter, and roof.
How does Senergy work out the price for my energy needs?+
We estimate your daily kWh use from the loads you list, then size the panels and batteries to cover it. Provider quotes are normalised so you can compare them fairly. The price you see is what the provider submitted. We do not invent it.
Can I get a loan or payment plan?+
Yes. Many providers offer 6–12 month plans (deposit + fixed monthly payment). Longer-term loans may be available through partner financiers. Eligibility depends on your income, credit history, and sometimes collateral.
What is the return on investment for a solar system?+
You save money by using less diesel, lower generator maintenance, and smaller grid bills. Most homes pay back in 3–5 years; heavy generator users can pay back in 2.5–4 years. After that, ongoing costs are mostly cleaning and small parts.
How do I know what size of solar system I need?+
Sizing depends on your daily kWh use, the highest load running at once, how many hours of backup you want, your roof space, and any future plans (like an EV or new ACs). Our calculator and a provider site visit refine this before the final quote.
Do I need batteries with my solar panels?+
Not always. If you only use power during the day with the grid, you can skip them. Batteries give you power at night, cover outages, and run loads more smoothly. If your grid is unreliable, batteries are usually worth it.
How long does installation take?+
After you reserve a quote and pay the deposit, most home installs take 2–5 days. Larger estates or commercial setups can take 1–3 weeks, depending on the work needed.
What happens if something goes wrong after installation?+
Contact the provider's support team. Standard warranties: panels 20–25 years, inverters 2–5 years, batteries 3–10 years (depending on type). Senergy keeps your install records to help with troubleshooting and follow-up.
